Steph Anderson

Steph is an experienced Chartered Physiotherapist. She has developed a varied skill set over many years working in a variety of clinical setting including Musculo-skeletal outpatients, inpatients and community rehabilitation. She joined the Heads-Up team in 2019.

Steph has a particular clinical interest in the treatment and management of Parkinson’s disease, from early diagnosis onwards. She takes an active interest in research in this area and is Parkinson’s Disease (PD) Warrior trained to Level 3.

PD warrior exercise programmes provide neuroactive exercises designed to retrain the brain and improve Parkinson’s Symptoms.

As well as ‘hands on’ treatments Steph particularly enjoys encouraging improvement through exercise either individually or in small groups, currently leading the neuro- exercise groups at the clinic.

She is also trained in Matwork Pilates with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute and often incorporates this as part of her treatment plans.

  • Diploma in Physiotherapy

  • Bobath Normal Movement Courses x3
  • Pilates training with APPI. Matwork 1-3, Small equipment, Neuro -Pilates , and Pilates for Osteoporosis
  • PD Warrior training Level 1-3
